Brief
Having moved in to the property recently one criteria the client was looking for was a manageable garden, that was suitable for eating out on a summers night, child and dog friendly.
The garden hadn’t been touched for years as the previous owners were elderly. It had concrete paving slaps dotted around, which were not child friendly and could be hazardous. The fence was damaged, causing constant repairs after blowing down a few times.
There was a tired looking old shed that was rotted and a concrete plot where a greenhouse had previously been. The garden was overrun with bushes and ivy.
Solution
The whole garden was cleared, the fence and paving was removed, shed dismantled, grass dug out to make it more level. A new timber fence was inserted around the outside and weed membrane was positioned on the ground for the artificial grass. Artificial grass was the perfect solution for the client as their dog suffers from a grass allergy. A new shed and play house was erected.
Outcome
The client was over the moon with the finished work, it is now safe for their children to play. Their dog is happy as he no longer itches when laying on the grass, his mess is easier to clear up and can be washed away with soapy water.
They are now waiting for the lighter nights coming where they can sit out and enjoy their new space.
